SchoolOS Privacy Notice
This notice describes the data the SchoolOS app collects and how it is used. It supplements our company-wide Singnet Privacy Policy, which covers data security, your rights, retention, international transfers, and contact details — please read both together.
SchoolOS is an educational management app used by coaching institutes and schools to manage enrolment, attendance, exams, fees, and announcements. It is multi-tenant: each institute controls the academic data of its own students and staff (the institute is the data controller; we act as processor on its behalf).
Information SchoolOS collects
| Category | Examples | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Account & identity | Full name, email, mobile number, password (salted BCrypt hash) | Create and secure your account; verify via OTP |
| Academic records | Course enrolment, attendance, exam/test results, homework, announcements | Core app functionality |
| Financial | Invoices, fee dues, payments, refunds, discounts applied to you. We do not store full card or bank-account numbers | Manage and display fees for your institute |
| Technical / device | IP address, app version, request logs, crash diagnostics, timestamps | Security, rate-limiting, reliability |
SchoolOS does not collect precise location, contacts, photos, or microphone/camera data unless a feature you use requires it, and only with your permission.
Sharing
We share data only with processors needed to run the app — email (Resend) and SMS (Fast2SMS) for OTP, cloud hosting, storage, and CDN/security. Full list and details are in the company policy. We do not sell your data.
Children’s privacy
SchoolOS may be used by institutes whose students are under the age of 13. Such accounts are created and managed by the institute and/or a parent or guardian, who is responsible for any consent required by law.
- We collect from children only the minimum data needed for the educational features above.
- We do not use children’s data for advertising or profiling.
- A parent, guardian, or the institute may review, correct, or request deletion of a child’s data — see deletion.
Security, your rights, retention & contact
These apply across all Singnet products and are described in the company Privacy Policy. To exercise your rights or request deletion, email support@mail.singnet.in — or see how to delete your account.
